Stephanie Loda is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University. She has been with Family Service of Lake County since 2002 and is the coordinator of the Senior and Caregiver Programs.
Stephanie approaches her work with clients in a collaborative manner, by meeting them where they are and working together with them to achieve their individual goals. Her work with older adults often focuses on issues of loss, including loss of important people, health, independence, and economic security. Another primary task with this population is a consolidation of one’s life and a search for meaning across one’s entire life span.
Stephanie’s approach is psychodynamic and client-centered. She focuses and builds on clients’ existing strengths to improve their sense of themselves and of well-being. Stephanie’s experience of working with older adults and caregivers has enabled her to truly value and address the needs of this growing and important population.
