Our Counseling Approach

We believe that each person has the potential to live the life they want. We make it our mission to help every client achieve that potential.

Our clients range from children to seniors, and we work with individuals, couples, and families.

How Our Therapists Can Help You

A mother and child

All of us experience challenges. We can help you with difficult life circumstances, such as marital or family challenges, anxiety, depression, caregiving, self-harm, trauma, guilt, grief/loss, school-related concerns, anger, and worry. The members of our professional, licensed clinical team have a passion for their work and believe in collaboration—we partner with schools, physicians, and other family members as needed.

We value listening and will work with you to identify your personal goals and develop a treatment plan to achieve your goals. Our therapists employ a variety of therapeutic models including strength-based, cognitive-behavioral, insight-oriented, mindfulness, family systems, and acceptance and commitment.

Locations

During the pandemic we continue to offer counseling for all ages, in both English and Spanish.  We are meeting with clients via both Zoom Video Counseling and telephone therapy.  This includes therapy for clients who might have had in-home visits.

All of the following locations are closed until further notice. In-home visits are suspended.

  • Main office, 777 Central Avenue, Highland Park.
  • CROYA, Lake Forest.
  • Nuestro Center, Highwood.

Fees

A sliding-fee scale is available and is based on income and household size. This provides access to counseling for those who might not otherwise be able to afford it. Learn more about fees and insurance.

It’s good to talk out multiple family problems and come up with ways to deal with them.
