Counseling at Family Service of Barrington Area
The Barrington office has, for nearly 50 years, been focused on individual counseling and counseling groups. Ongoing in the Barrington Area is the “Women Coming Together” group, which is designed to bring together women of all ages facing issues including returning to the work force, unemployment, divorce, caring for elderly parents or an ill relative, and facing retirement with limited resources.
Events and Programs at Family Service of Barrington Area
Join us this Sunday, October 31, at 2 p.m. for our Annual Benefit Concert at the Barrington United Methodist Church. The concert will feature the "Big Band Sound of Deerfield." Admission is free, and a free-will offering will be taken to benefit counseling services at Family Service of Barrington Area.
Counseling staff member Joyce Wisniewski serves on the Healthier Barrington sub-committee for Mental Health, and is partnering with members to sponsor the November mental health fair at Barrington High School.

The Board of Family Service of Barrington Area, established in 1967 and comprised of members who live or work in the Barrington communities, oversees Family Service activities in the Barrington Area.
